Biog

Celtic signed defender John Boyle from junior side Bathgate in 1933.

Boyle had to wait until season 1937/38 before he made his debut for the Hoops on August 22nd in a 5-0 home triumph against Queen of the South.
But Boyle couldn't dislodge John Morrison from the Celtic line-up and was released in 1938 after just 10 appearances.
