Ryan Conroy was recruited to the Celtic Pro Youth Academy as an 11 year old. He was taken on by the club at the start of 03/04 season and moved steadily up though the squads. During 04/05 he was a constant member of the U19 team. In 05/06 he was given a first team squad number and was a Scotland U19 player. He made his first representative appearance for the club in a Friendly in September 2005 against Arbroath.
Ryan has an excellent left foot and can play anywhere on the left side. He is regularly used as an attacking left back. He made his full debut against Falkirk in December 2007. Also played in the next game - a dreadful capitulation from 2-0 up against 10-man Inverness CT - but was returned to the reserves thereafter.
Captained the reserves in 2009/10 for a series of ad hoc friendly fixtures, the reserve league having been discontinued.
Loaned to Patrick Thistle on 14 January 2010, where he will feature alongside Firhill player/coach
Simon Donnelly.
